SELECTION TIMELINETHE POSITION
The Kansas State Board of Education is seeking a highly qualified leader to serve as the superintendent of the Kansas State Schools for the Deaf and Blind. The board would like the successful candidate to assume the responsibilities of the position prior to June 1, 2017.
QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must have the background, skills and abilities essential for excellence in educational leadership.

KANSAS STATE SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF
Kansas State School for the Deaf (KSSD) is one of the nation’s top bilingual schools where American Sign Language (ASL) is the language of instruction and English is a second language.
KSSD, which is accredited by the state and by the Conference of Educational Administrators of Schools and Programs for the Deaf, offers comprehensive programming for students ages 3 through 21 including preschool, dual-placement options, a transition program and a dormitory option.
KANSAS STATE SCHOOL FOR THE BLIND
Kansas State School for the Blind (KSSB) is a hub of exemplary practices for students with visual impairments, including those with additional disabilities who need more intensive support.
Embedded in campus day and residential programs are critical adaptation skills, including braille, low-vision techniques, assistive technology, orientation/mobility, self-determination, career education and more.
SCHOOL FACTS:
Field service works with 65 teachers of students who are blind or visually impaired (TVI) and certified orientation and mobility specialists (COM) serving 1,150 students.

Position Title Customer Service Technical Support Representative II
Position Summary Answers telephone and written or Internet-based inquiries of a technical or complex nature from customers regarding company products. Support is primarily related to external clients but may also assist/advise internal clients. Analyzes non-routine problems with nonfunctioning electro/mechanical equipment or software applications to identify problem area(s) and recommend corrective action. Regularly requires deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures. Maintains log of problems so that recurring problems can be reported to product development. Handles problem resolution which may require follow-up and/or escalation to a higher level of expertise. Handles situations which require adaptation of response or extensive research according to customer response. May orient, train, or check the work of other employees.

Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) - We are seeking Video Technical Support Representative to enhance the Customer Experience for our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Customers
•Ability to maintain and preserve confidentiality of information
•High level of integrity and professionalism
•Excellent typing and written skills
•Experience navigating multiple computer screens and programs while interacting with customer
Absent a reasonable accommodation or military obligation, employees must be available to work a flexible schedule (including days, nights, weekends and holidays).
Monday-Friday: 7am-10pm (CST)

Basic Qualifications •High school diploma or equivalent
•One year experience operating a computer in a Windows based environment
Preferred Qualifications •Bachelor's Degree
•Two years experience in a customer facing environment.
•Two years experience troubleshooting computer hardware, mobile phones, or other electronic devices
