We are looking for a person to run our new facility in Ohio.
The position does not have any requirements that require the ability to hear.
I will be interviewing for the position on Sept 27 2010 in North Ridgeville Ohio.
Position: Satellite Production Facility Manager/Operator
Hours: Full time. 10:00 am until daily production is complete.
Location: North Ridgeville Ohio
Experience: We will train.
Compensation: $11 to $13 per hour after weekly production bonuses.
Other Requirements: Drivers license, stable background, high level of responsibility, transportation
Summery Description: Operate two pieces of equipment, some minor computer work, package for shipping and maintain inventory levels. Meet production requirements. Maximum of 3 sick or unplanned days per year permitted.
Detailed Description:
A facility operator’s day starts with a few simple computer tasks. Files are downloaded, opened and then sent to a large printer. The printer is manually loaded with a roll of material once or twice per day. The rolls weigh 60-70lbs each. This task requires a relatively strong individual. The operator cuts the printed area off of the roll, and mounts it to a board. Mounting is accomplished by running both the board and the print through a roller machine (laminator). The mounted print is then cut for shipping. The final product is then placed in a box (2’x4’x4"). An instruction packet and a few other items are pulled from inventory and placed in the box. The box, the instruction packet and many of the inventory items are pre-assembled by the facility operator when the schedule permits. A shipping label is printed from the computer and applied to the box; the box is sealed and set out for UPS. The packages are delivered to UPS if the order is completed after the scheduled UPS pick up time. The facility operator is responsible for daily cleaning of the printer and the facility. Inventory is counted and reported on a monthly basis. Replacement inventory is ordered, received, counted and signed for. A few times per year, large quantities of inventory are received via tractor trailer. On these rare occasions an operator may spend much of a day unloading a delivery. This task requires strength and stamina.
The hours of operation are completely dependant on daily demand. Start time in the busy summer season is 9 am. The start time for the slower winter season is 11am. We guarantee shipping on all orders received before 3 pm, so our day ends when all orders are completed or UPS closes. The operators pay is tied to meeting the critical requirement of shipping all orders. The parameters that are particularly note worthy in this position are the demand for a flexible “end of day”, the demand for a maximum of three unplanned days off per year and the pressure of making sure that all orders ship on time.
