ASL Scripture Dictionary

These are some of the words that those who know ASL have had trouble understanding as they read the scriptures. The words here in are not dictionary definitions. They are our attempt to make some of the Scriputre Language more understandable to a person who's first language is ASL. The list was first started by Anne Sorace from the Brooklyn New York Deaf branch. Then two New York Elders worked on it (if you know their names please send them to me so we can give them credit). It was then added to and refined by Sister Nichole Lindholm while serving in the Washington Tacoma ASL mission. The final touches have been added by Brad Holt who added the ASL suggested sign definitons enclosed in ( )'s. Any additional words or suggestions would be appreciated. Send to ===>cordellv@yahoo.com<===

It is best to print this list out. It is easier to use and you can then carry it with you.
