Four Keys
to discerning false revelation

By Cordell Vail

1. Is the information received consistent with the scriptures
(There is only one set of rules)

2. Is the information received consistent with the teachings of the living prophets
(you can't follow a living prophet if you do not know what he has said)

3. Was the revelation or information received within that person's stewardship to receive the revelation
(You can not receive revelations for someone else unless you have direct stewardship over them.)

4. How did you feel when the person told you about it.
(That is the hardest key of all..... To Follow Your Feelings!)

If you have a negative answer to any one of the 4 keys, then the revelation or information is not from the Lord.
