This is my testimony to the world. My testimony began early in my life as aI realized that god loved me and knew who I was. I attribute this beginning of my fait to my Catholic Mother. She taught me to pray, to be honest, to be kind to all people and respectful.
When I got older and wanted to attend church, my mother made sure I had a way to get there. She wanted me to choose for myself which church I wanted to join.
When I was 10 we moved into another area and I became friends with a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I went to church with her often. When I was 14 I heard the LDS missionary discussions. I received (through study and prayer) a witness that the Book of Mormon was and is another testament of Christ and that Joseph smith saw God and followed the directions he had been given by God the Father and His son Jesus Christ.
I know we have a living prophet today - Gordon B. Hinckley. President Hinckley has that same authority for God that was given to Joseph Smith. I know he speaks with Christ and through this communication we know Gods will.
It has been 42 years since I was baptized, confirmed and welcomed into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My faith and commitment to the gospel has continued to grow stronger every day. I know the principles and doctrines on which the Church is based are true.
There are no words that can express the deep and abiding love I have for the Savior. He is my light and my salvation. I am grateful for His sacrifice so that I might live again.
I know if anyone who reads this testimony and wants to know for themselves these things of which I bear witness are true, that God will let you know through prayer and study.
